Crafted at the Shinobu Distillery in Niigata Prefecture, Shinobu Single Malt Kihei is a bold yet balanced Japanese whisky shaped by its coastal environment of heavy snowfall, strong sea winds, and pristine water drawn from the land of snow and sake.

Distilled by second-generation master distiller Usami Tatsuya, this single malt is matured in a carefully selected combination of Bourbon, Sherry, and Hogshead casks. The result reveals layered notes of dried fruit, warming spice, and gentle oak. Inspired by Kihei—symbolizing discipline, strength, and leadership—this expression delivers depth, harmony, and quiet power in every sip.

Tasting Notes

• Nose: A captivating mix of vanilla, ripe peach, dark chocolate, and cacao, uplifted by tropical mango and soft smoky incense. Mizunara oak adds refined, earthy depth.
• Palate: Mellow and gently sweet, with layers of vanilla and honey wrapped in a velvety texture. Hints of bourbon warmth and subtle spice unfold gracefully.
• Finish: Rich, woody finish lingers with notes of charred oak and a whisper of bitterness. Balanced, lasting, gently complex.
